Understanding begins with knowledge

Welcome

The Bangladesh Center for Holocaust Studies is dedicated to preserving the memories of those lost in the Holocaust. The organization is focused on bringing much-needed knowledge of this terrible event among the people of Bangladesh. The nation of Bangladesh is located in South Asia.

This predominantly Muslim nation is known for its liberal and open-minded people. Unfortunately a vast majority of the people are actually unaware of this tragic event called the Holocaust. The center will take steps to educate the current generation about the need to fight hatred, reconcile differences, and value diversity.

The Bangladesh Center for Holocaust Studies was founded in 2009. The organization is currently trying to reach millions of people through online education.

The management is also exploring locations in the capital city of Dhaka to build a facility that will house a museum and a research facility.

"Every generation has the obligation to free men's minds for a look at new worlds... to look out from a higher plateau than the last generation." - Ellison S. Onizuka

One of the major goals of this organization is to play a critical role in shaping legislation that will mandate Holocaust education in schools from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
